Lewis

Lewis (also known as Mr. Blob Chan) has joined the laboratory as a Master’s student to study blobology the evolution of drug-binding residues of the ribosome. However, as a PhD student, he investigates how ribosomes enter a dormant state during cellular stress or starvation. (If you wonder why the change was necessary, here is one possible reason: Why did the bear decide to take up research on hibernation? Because he thought it would be the perfect excuse to sleep on the job and get away with it… Just kidding.) Before joining the lab, Lewis obtained his BS degree in Biomedical Sciences at Newcastle University, where he worked with Dr. Christopher Nile to test new potent biomarkers of autoimmune disorders, including Crohn’s disease. Lewis is an overachiever who never stops improving himself. He knows the value of working on himself harder than on his work, and he is a fun colleague to be around. Moreover, he shares his passion for self-education with every team member, helping build a safe place where people learn to flourish and help each other succeed.
